3/2/03 - Releases of this mod in stages

Update on this site: Due to A2597's sudden and unexpected preoccupation with making a Wheel of Time
mod for Unreal Tourny 2003, I have talked with him and he has agreed that we can start releasing parts
of this mod in stages. Since most of the maps are done, I am going to do the finishing touches on
them and get them ready for release in the next couple of months.

Now that I am no longer working 40 hours a week and am back at college its back to the maps!
Expect to start seeing some new screenshots poping up in the next couple weeks as I finish more
maps and get their screenshots uploaded.

Hoody hoo! Were back!
Lots 'o stuff happening. just need to texture one more tank, and the demo is ready for release.
(Wish me luck...this ones gunna be a PAIN, mainly because its a tech tanks, meaning metal, which I
never figured out how to texture right... *sigh*
Other news, the B5 Mod is going to have some new stuff in it, new explosions, new fire effects, high-res gound, and skybox textures,
etc. In other words, simply making TM look better. (Note: The "High Res" feature will be a seperate download,
this way, people with high-end machines can get the most out of the mod, and those on the lower end machines can
still have a good framerate).
Other things to note: I have added charging weapons to the game, meaning that your tanks main gun will generate it's own ammo. (Special feature of advanced tanks, that use Beam cannons and other energy based weapons. Tanks that use projectile weapons will not recharge.
Status:
Tanks: ~40%
Texturing: 30% of compleated tanks and models.
Maps: DM: 90%, Race: 15%, CTF: 90%, FTF: 0%
sounds: 100% (Of completed tanks)
For the demo, as I said, I only need to texture one more tank. (Hah...hah...hah,that might take awhile).
Things ARE moving along, and I have been working on this,but I do have a job, and a life to contend with. Go fig. ;)

Well, As with all the other mods, things pop up to delay you. (Such as life, annoying, I know).
Anyhoo, only thing thats holding up the demo is that I want to fix some tanks, and add some weapons yet. And, dunno
if this will be in the demo, but a new game mode. Frag the Firstone. :) (It's gunna ROCK if I can get it, just one small bug left now...
Other then that, not much going on...other than new tanks being modeled, textured, etc. |

We are currently working on an in progress demo and beta trial of this mod and hope to get this out within the next week.
If you are interested in downloading the music for this mod, it is available here. The file size is large enough that we will likely be providing this as a seperate addon to the mod. Other B5 music available at that site is also appropriate for this mod.
