EDGE OF CHAOS FAKE SPOTLIGHT EFFECT
This is a quick tutorial on creating a spotlight effect on surfaces without using spotlights (which EOC does not support)
First of all create an image of a spotlight pointed at a flat plane with a black surface and make the background black as well.
You will get an image similar to that below (which you are free to use instead of making one yourself).

Now, in Paint Shop Pro, load the image you want to have this effect applied to and then resize the spotlight to the size you want so it will fit onto the image, to have the spot, the way you want it.
You can see below the image i wan't this applied to and the finished spotlight resized etc.
image (a)
image(b)
Now copy image (b) and select image (a) then goto "Edit" "Paste" and "paste as new layer".
Now click on the layers button at the top of the screen (a red box with a blue box on the top of it and slightly to the right),select layer two and then click on the arrow to the right of where it says Normal and scroll down until you you select "Hard Light"and you should see an image similar to below.

Now all you need to do is goto "layers" "Merge" and "Merge All" and resize it and save it.
Then, in layout, pick the surface to have the spotlight effect, add: <glow channel> to the end of the surface name,
add the colour map to the "colour" channel as normal and then ad the image you just created to the "Luminosity" channel using the same settings as the "colour" channel. Then convert your model, add it to the game and you should have a good looking spotlight effect witout using spotlights like this and this image.
