Place the zip in game's 'mods' subfolder, select it and start rock 'n' rolling. Please note that these ship mods are only meant to give some taste and inspire new modders to join in. So feel free to use them, if you're about to script a scenario.

You may not be able to play the EoC campaign all the way with them and you save the game at your own risk since there's data written about the ships in EoC saves. We can't help if you get stuck because of that.
