And so it... er, continues!

The new release is finally out, and with it comes change for the B5:FSF
project. While we're currently still in the pre-alpha stage, and the
current code base is still full of gaping holes and bugs, I feel that
it's finally starting to take shape. So while the game is still missing
AI, 3D audio, music, as well as a ton of other features
that we plan to include, the basic foundation is now there on which to
base those features.
So, it's my pleasure to announce that starting with the next release,
B5:FSF will be open-source. Before that happens, I must
first clean-up the current code, and that's going to take a little time.
However, once I've done that, I'll open up a developer site. But
don't worry,
mods.firstones.com/b5fsf/
will continue to be the project's "public" site, and all releases and
user discussion will be done through its forums -- this is our home, we're
not about to leave :)!

Statement Of Purpose
"This is the Voice of the Resistance."
The long-awaited computer game, Babylon 5: Into The Fire, has been
cancelled. This was a business decision made by the management of Sierra
Studios. They have miserably failed in the eyes of the fans.
As a result, I decided to take matters into my own hands and initiate
the development of a Babylon 5 flight simulator. This job will not be
simple. But if several computer artists and programmers are willing to
spend a few hours a week working on this, it will be done.
This program I plan to produce, Babylon 5: Flight Simulator Freeware,
will be given to anyone who wants it for free. B5:FSF will not be sold for
any reason. It will be a form of "fan artwork" that will be a worthy
tribute to wonderful television show.
"No surrender, no retreat."
